It supports the learning, research, and practices of those who strive to shape the future of their communities.
Hyangeum Scholarship Program
향음장학 프로그램은
사단법인 우리술문화원이 운영하는 비영리 장학기금입니다. 농어촌 지역의 중·고등학생 가운데 지역사회와 함께 성장할 가능성을 지닌 청소년을 발굴하고, 그들의 배움과 미래를 응원하기 위해 마련되었습니다. 매년 각 지역의 지회장과 학교장의 추천을 받아 장학생을 선정하며, 학생 개개인의 배경보다 공동체에 대한 태도와 성실성을 더욱 중요하게 여깁니다. 한 사람의 성장이 지역의 미래로 이어진다는 믿음 아래 이 장학금이 전달되고 있습니다.
2025년에는
전라남도 강진군과 전라북도 고창군에서 중·고등학생 4명이 장학생으로 선정되었습니다.
The Hyangeum Scholarship Program
is a nonprofit initiative operated by the Korea Suul Institute. It was established to support the education and future of rural middle and high school students who show the potential to grow alongside their local communities. Each year, scholarship recipients are selected based on the recommendations of local coordinators and school principals. Rather than focusing on individual backgrounds, the program places greater value on sincerity and a sense of responsibility toward the community. We believe that the growth of one person can contribute to the future of the region, and this belief is what guides our scholarship program.
In 2025,
four students from Gangjin (South Jeolla Province) and Gochang (North Jeolla Province) were selected as Hyangeum Scholarship recipients.

향음펀드는
인류 문화유산으로서의 술을 조명하고, 지역 기반의 학문 생태계를 조성하기 위해 학술 활동을 꾸준히 지원해 왔습니다. 현재 <우리술학술원>이 발간하는 정기 학술지 『술과 문화』를 통해 다양한 연구 성과를 소개하고 있습니다.
2026년 제1회 향음학술상 수상자 선정을 앞두고 여러분의 추천을 기다립니다.
The Hyangeum Fund
has consistently supported academic initiatives to shed light on suul as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity and to nurture a regionally grounded scholarly ecosystem. Currently, <the Society of Suul Studies> publishes the Journal of Suul & Culture to showcase a broad range of research outcomes.
